Accountant

Dear Sir, We are looking to hire an Accountant for our software company based in Mumbai. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with around 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the IT/Software industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GST calculations, statutory compliance, accounting, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance. Prepare and maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards. Perform accurate GST calculations and ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, etc.). Reconcile GST input and output tax and resolve discrepancies. Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and return filings. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Coordinate with auditors during statutory, internal, and tax audits. Monitor accounts payable and receivable. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Assist in budgeting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.

Strong knowledge of GST calculations and GST compliance. Good understanding of TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime or ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Educational Qualification Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory. M.Com or CA Inter will be an added advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile Around 4 years of accounting experience. Experience in the IT/Software industry is preferred. Thorough expertise in GST calculation, reconciliation, and return filing. Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
